WHO IN TARNATION IS CARL CULPEPPER?

(a thinly disguised resume-type-of-page)

Carl Culpepper is a guitarist based in the Atlanta area. Although Carl has been professionally involved in many styles of music from Baroque to Jazz, his personal style has remained rooted in the high-energy classic Rock of his developmental years. In addition to a prolific performing career, he was a long standing faculty member at the Atlanta Institute of Music from 1992-2015. Carl has also taught hundreds of private students in Atlanta and Los Angeles.

WHAT'D HE EVER DO?

Carl currently fronts his own high-energy power trio. The Carl Culpepper Band performs original tunes as well as stylized selections from many of Carl's biggest influences (including Jimi Hendrix, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin & ZZ Top).

In January 2005, Carl produced his all instrumental CD, Amplitude. This solo debut showcases many sides of Carl's playing and compositional talents in a multi-faceted rock format.

From 2010 - 2013, Carl was the lead guitarist in the Atlanta based hard rock band, Mad Margritt. During that time the band wrote, recorded and released Show No Mercy (Perris Records).

Carl has been featured on several CDs including Radiant by Randy Hoexter and Demonstratus by Thom Hartwick. He can be heard on the sports theme for the Sunshine Network.  Click here to listen to samples from Carl's CD and more.
